Electric Ireland Incentive

Don't qualify for the Warmer Homes Scheme? There are other insulation grants available that can help cover the cost of installing new insulation and other energy efficiency measures, like high efficiency boilers, heating controls, windows and doors!

SEAI's Better Energy Homes Scheme offers cash grants when you install a range of energy efficiency measures in your home, like cavity wall insulation, attic insulation, internal wall dry lining, external wall insulation, high efficiency gas or oil fired boilers, heating controls and solar water heating systems.

Electric Ireland is currently running an Energy Efficiency Incentive for new and existing customers. Simply install qualifying measures in your home and you can earn a discount on your Electric Ireland electricity or gas bill.

How Does SEAI's Better Energy Homes Scheme Work?

If you own a house built before 2006 you should qualify for SEAI's Better Energy Homes Scheme. You'll earn a cash grant by simply installing new insulation, boilers or heating controls in your home. While it won't cover the full amount of the works, it will significantly reduce the cost! You'll even receive a bonus grant if you choose to install three or four measures. How Does the Electric Ireland Incentive Work?

The Electric Ireland Incentive offers discounts on your Electric Ireland electricity or gas bill when you install qualifying measures in your home. To qualify, your home must have been built before 2006 and you must be an Electric Ireland customer. Not currently a customer? All you have to do is switch to Electric Ireland to take advantage of these discounts. You can also avail of any promotions Electric Ireland may be offering to switch.

How Do I Apply?

We'll walk you through the entire process, including applications for both the Electric Ireland Incentive and SEAI's Better Energy Homes Scheme. Once your approved, we'll install the measures you choose and submit the relevant paperwork to process your discount and cash grant.
